This cultural tour through the mystical Western valleys of Bhutan is an ideal introduction to the Dragon Kingdom. Highlights include Ta Dzong Museum, Rimpong Dzong with its wooden cantilevered bridge and the infamous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) in the beautiful Paro Valley, The National Memorial Chorten, 12th century Changangkha Temple and the National Library exhibiting ancient scriptures in Bhutan’s capital Thimphu, and after crossing the 3050m Dochula Pass with spectacular Himalayan views, a journey into the sub-tropical Punakha Valley featuring the incredible the Punakha Dzong and Chimi Lhakang, temple of the ‘Divine Madman’.

Day 1
Arrival at Paro - Thimphu
  • Arrive Paro, Guide will be at the airport to pick you up
  • Visit Ta Dzong – National Museum
  • Visit the RimpungDzong.
  • After that drive to Capital Thimphu which takes 1.5 hours.
  • Overnight at your hotel in Thimphu.
Day 2
Thimphu Sightseeing
  • Visit to the National Memorial Chorten
  • Visit the school for Arts and Crafts, National Library housing, Traditional paper factory and then medieval farmhouse – Folk Heritage Museum.
  • Next visit the national animal of bhutan – Takin.
  • Visit to Tashichhodzong.
  • Later visit to Thimphu Market to see variety food of bhutan.
  • Overnight at your hotel in Thimphu.
Day 3
Thimphu - Punakha
  • Drive over the Dochula Pass which takes 3100 meters.
  • On the arrival, visit Punakha Dzong – the “Palace of Great Happiness”.
  • After lunch, enjoy a walk to Chimi Lhakhang, temple of the Drukpa Kuenley , who is also known as the Divine Madman.
  • Overnight at your hotel at Punakha or Wangduephodrang.
Day 4
Punakha - Paro
  • Drive to Yabesa Village and hike through ricefields and up to KhamsumYueleyNamgyal Chorten.
  • Take a picnic lunch on a picturesque riverside before exploring the WangduephodrangDzong.
  • Drive back to Thimphu to visit the handicraft and souvenir stores.
  • Afterwards proceed to Paro visiting SemtokhaDzong on route.
  • On arrival at Paro check into the hotel.
  • Overnight at your hotel at Paro 
Day 5
Hike to Taktsang Monastery.
  • After breakfast hike to Taktsang Monastery.
  • In the afternoon drive to the ruins of the 17th century DrukgyelDzong.
  • Visit 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang – one of the 108 temples constructed by the Tibetan King SongtsenGampo.
  • After that make a trip to Haa valley – one of the most picturesque districts in Bhutan.
  • Overnight at your hotel at Paro.
Day 6
Depart from Paro

Today we will bid fond farewell to this beautiful Himalayan country and take an early flight back to Singapore. We hope by now you would have made some friends and also kept many photos and beautiful memories of Bhutan! And we look forward to seeing you again in this beautiful land of endless Enchantments! Tashi Delek!
